Badges for the 2017 Atlanta Film Festival

The best way to attend the Festival is with a Badge or a MovieHopper Card. These options allow you to see as many films as you want at the festival on a priority seating basis. (See below for details.) When you buy a Badge or Moviehopper Card, you also receive an Atlanta Film Society Membership which expires at the end of 2017. See our FAQ at the bottom of the page.

MovieHopper Card holders wait in Standby Line and are admitted after Badge and Ticket holders, until no more space is available. Last year more than 90 of our 100+ screenings had room left for MovieHopper Card holders, so this is a great way to see a bunch of movies on the cheap.

The MovieHopper Card includes:

  • Unlimited admission to regular ATLFF films in Standby Line
  • Admission to Opening and Closing Night films in Standby Line.
  • Year-round membership to the Atlanta Film Festival through December 31, 2017.

How priority seating works

Line A - Priority Seating

  • Producer Badges
  • All-Access Badges
  • Film & Conference Badges
  • Film Badges
  • Weekend Badges
  • Filmmaker Badges
  • Industry Badges
  • Press Badges
  • Buddy Pass holders accompanying a badge holder.

This group is seated first, 20 minutes before the show. Badge holders who arrive later than 20 minutes prior to show start may join the Standby Line.

Line B - Ticket Holders

Individual ticket holders ($10 in advance/$12 at door, purchased for individual shows online or at the box office).

This group is seated next, once badge holders have entered (approximately 15 minutes prior to screening). If you do not arrive by the time this line is admitted, your seat may be released to someone waiting in Standby Line. For popular shows it is especially important to arrive early. Allow plenty of time to park and make your way to the venue.

Standby Line

  • MovieHopper Card holders
  • Badge holders arriving late
  • Buddy Pass holders not accompanied by a badge holder

Once badge holders and individual ticket holders are seated, all remaining seats are released to Standby Line (approximately 5 minutes prior to screening). Except for a handful of screenings each year that sell out in advance, there are always a generous number of seats left at every screening for this group.
