Internships at the Atlanta Film Festival

The Atlanta Film Festival is a year-round, non-profit media arts organization that specializes in film screenings, educational support and film and media events, including an annual screenplay competition and the Atlanta Film Festival, held each April. Our internships give interns a well-rounded experience and knowledge of producing a film festival, as well as experience working for a non-profit, member-based, media arts organization. Interns assist with administrative duties, membership, and event planning and coordination.

Please note that while an internship with the Festival is a great way to get connected to the local film community, we are not a film studio and therefore we do not offer internships in film production.

Basic Requirements for all Interns:

  • Must be at least 18 years-old (internships for High School Seniors available on a case by case basis)
  • Must work a minimum of 10 hours per week (office hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
  • Must be available to work a select number of after-hours events (some events are off-site). Depending on the nature of the event, hours worked may be applied to minimum hours required
  • Must work a minimum of 3 months (12 weeks)
  • Internships are unpaid
  • Interns should be energetic, outgoing and enjoy working with the public. Interns should have excellent written and oral communications skills, phone manners and organizational abilities.
