SATELLITE is a little 100 minute film made in 2006 on a micro-budget. Hailed as “a captivating romantic fairy tale for grown-ups” by The New York Times and “the perfect date movie” from Slant Magazine, it features the breakout performance of rising star Stephanie Szostak (Iron Man 3, Dinner For Schmucks, The Devil Wears Prada). SATELLITE had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and went on to win numerous awards including Special Jury Prize at the Madrid Film Festival.
In SATELLITE, a chance encounter prompts a young couple to forsake everything they know in the hopes of truly experiencing life as never before in this reckless romantic drama. After meeting and falling in love over the course of a weekend, Kevin and Ro vow never to lie to each other and to dare each other to do the things they fear most. The new pair hastily abandon their jobs, sell all their possessions, and bet everything they have on love.
Director Jeff Winner will be on hand for a Q&A and hangout following the film.
