Looking for a career change? The entertainment production business in Georgia is booming! We seek hard working, skilled, team players that are ready to learn the film, TV & commercial production industry from the ground up from the people who do the hiring!
The Production Assistant Academy is a two day course run by
professional filmmakers to educate and train selected candidates in the
basics of being a production assistant.
This course is for serious applicants interested in working as PAs in Georgia's film and television industry.
Course Registration Fee: $75
During this course you will learn:
- Set Terminology and Etiquette
- Hierarchy of all departments and how they relate to each other
- Specific PA duties of different departments
- How to identify and use the basic "Tools of the trade"
- Tips on how to get hired and re-hired, including how to build a resume
- Tips on how to search for film positions, both locally and nationally
Upon satisfactory completion of the course, you'll receive
- GPP Certification of Course Completion to add to your resume
- Contact listing on the GPP member-central section of the GPP website signifying course completion
- Prerequisite qualification for future GPP Job training courses
Important Information
- To participate in the PA Academy, you must submit an application.
- Fifty (50) participants will be selected by GPP from applications received.
- Because this is a certification course, you can be dismissed
from the course and your money refunded.
- There will be a
test that MUST be taken and passed for certification.
