| Atlanta Screenwriters Group Meeting - January 21, 2010 |
|
Don't forget our next meeting will be held at Atlanta Film Festival 365 @ The Contemporary (535 Means St, NW, 30318). on
Thursday evening 1/21 at 8pm. Please try to confirm by 1/19 so that I
may inform the writers of a good attendance forecast.
We'll be reading a script by Ken Dymond Title: The White Room
Logline: Chris, a 13 year old mired from recent tragedy, discovers a curious boy in a white room who teaches him how to transcend the walls of the room and the barriers of life. Hope to see you there. Remember to schedule future readings of your script through our reading request email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it so that the calendar can be kept current. Thanks, UPDATES: The Holiday Season is technically over but we at ASG are still thinking about giving back a little. ASG member Kelly Ladd had a very good idea to encourage our members to bring non-parishable food items to ASG meetings that we will donate to an Atlanta food bank. So please, for the next ASG meeting you attend bring an item or two that we can pass along to help some folks right here in Atlanta through some tough times. We'll collect them at each ASG meeting and donate them. Thank you Kelly for a great thought and for volunteering to spearhead the donation effort.
At the last meeting we were discussing local feature film projects and I had asked if people had seen Kerberos, an action film shot locally by Kely McClung and some had not heard of this project. So I wanted to shed some light on it as well. So check out the website and view the trailer to this locally produced independent film here: http://www.kerberosbites.com/
I still want to plug the official site (www.battle-movie.com) for my upcoming feature Battle and invite you to check out the Trailer for the film and still follow progress on our blog. Please be sure to check out the trailer and pass it along to all your friends. Also, we'd be really honored if you joined the Demand it! campaign for the film.
