With thanks to our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, attending audience, and host venue, we were able to bring Mountainfilm on Tour ATL roaring to life in 2013! It was a weekend filled to the brim with "take your breath away" films and filmmakers, inspiring environmental efforts and enthusiasts, as well as the bright, smiling faces of delighted kids posing for pictures with Captain Planet!

Needless to say, we had a ton of fun! If you missed out, don't worry -- we'll be back in 2014! Look below to find out more about the mission of Mountainfilm on Tour and to see the exciting highlights from 2013. If your interest is peaked, feel free to sign up for our email list; in the months leading up to next year's event, we'll send word about upcoming dates, programming, festival activities, and early-bird discounts.

We'll see you in 2014!

Throughout the year, and throughout the world, Mountainfilm on Tour takes an innovative sampling of short films, curated from that year's Mountainfilm in Telluride Film Festival, and goes out on the road with one mission in mind -- to educate, inspire, and motivate the world's audiences.

To achieve this goal, Mountainfilm partners with a wide array of like-minded schools, organizations, community groups, corporations, and theater operators; together, these partnerships result in an annual tour that touches the lives of over 20,000 people, from 70 different locations, on 5 different continents.

Mountainfilm is dedicated to educating, inspiring and motivating audiences about issues that matter, cultures worth exploring, environments worth preserving, adventures worth pursuing and conversations worth sustaining.

Our inaugural Mountainfilm on Tour ATL 2-day event captured imaginations, captivated minds, and motivated an eye-opening experience that we hope resonated with audiences in the days following. Such a task wouldn't have been possible without the inspiring films and filmmakers brought to Atlanta by the Mountainfilm in Telluride Film Festival's touring program and our Presenting Sponsor, Morgan Stanley.

As you can see below, all of our efforts combined with that of our sponsors, community partners, the Mountainfilm directors, and the exquisite talent behind the films screened, made this event a whole lot of fun.

As mentioned, this entire event is built around what our environment provides us (exciting adventures, natural resources, and a place to call home) and how we can, and should, be taking care of it.

We have local initiatives right here in Atlanta who actively seek to educate and initiate necessary conversations regarding these very same ideas, and they are: the Georgia Conservancy,  Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and Captain Planet Foundation.

All proceeds from Mountainfilm on Tour ATL benefit these inspiring organizations.

If you're interested in both contributing and participating in our combined mission with Mountainfilm on Tour, we want to see you in 2014. We can guarantee that it will be an enlightening, motivating, and inspiring experience for you, your friends and co-workers, as well as your family. It's an experience that will look something like this...
