Out On Film kicks off an 8-day celebration this Thursday!

Out On Film will be kicking off their 27th annual festival this Thursday, October 2nd at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema.

Regular Deadline for ATLFF Film Submissions is Today (9/26).

Today is the last day to submit your film for possible inclusion in the 2015 Atlanta Film Festival at the regular price ($45 for features, $35 for shorts). After today, the fee will jump an additional $10 for each category, so get your work into our hands today.

Making a Short Film 101 Webinar Series: A to Z Guidance on How to Successfully Produce, Write & Direct Your Own Short Film

This webinar series is designed for both new filmmakers to learn the steps they should take to make a short film; and for experienced filmmakers looking to start a short film project they will either personally finance or seek funding from outside investors. This Atlanta Film Festival series will take place over the course of four webinars in September & October 2014. Students are not required to register and attend all webinars; and can also elect to attend specific courses based on the different areas of the filmmaking that will be covered in each course. Students who do attend all four webinars can expect to receive the soup to nuts knowledge they would need to know in order to plan, produce, successfully complete, market and distribute a short film. 

ATLFF Screenplay Competition: 2015 Call for Entries is Open

Attention all screenwriters: the call for entries for the 2015 Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition is open. It’s been open for a while, actually, but we’re going to make a big stink about it now because there’s a deadline coming up in a little over a month and we want you to have warning to polish up your entry before you hit the submit button.

In our first partnership with VICE, we will present Sundance hit "Fishing Without Nets." Shot in East Africa using Somali non-actors, this film tells the mesmerizing and sobering story of the bandits from the Somali point of view.
