Location: The Lovett School - Fuqua Center Blackbox Theater
Time: 9:00AM - 12:00PM
Price: $65 General Admission  |  $50 ATLFF/GPP Member Admission

Location/Directions Information: The campus is best accessed from the front gate (4075 Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta GA, 30327). Once on campus, drive down the hill and park as close as possible to the building directly at the bottom. Cross a small footbridge over the pond and enter the Fuqua Center through the glass doors. The workshop will be held within the center's Blackbox Theatre. Signage will be provided. 

CLASS SYNOPSIS

Interested in the growing Georgia film industry, but don't know where to start or fit in? This class walks you through the basic duties, responsibilities, and hierarchy of each department working on a film set, introduces you to basic production lingo, and offers advise on how your past work experience, hobbies, or natural abilities may be a transitioning entry point. Long hours, a strong work ethic, and a good attitude are needed to survive as a freelancer, and this class can help you determine whether you have the ability, talent, and discipline to more forward with a career in this industry.

This Introduction to Film Business workshop is part of the Atlanta Film Festival's year-round slate of programming curated and presented to our Atlanta audience in service of our mission: to lead the community in creative and cultural discovery through the moving image.
