Atlanta Film Festival 365 presents a monthly female film series at the Plaza Theater that's a combination of your classic "girls night in" with your crazy "girls night out" --Mascara Movie Mondays.
For the series debut you'll be treated to Heathers, the 1989 ultra-dark comedy that prompted this from Janet Maslin in the New York Times:
''Heathers,'' . . . is as snappy and assured as it is mean-spirited. Its originality extends well beyond the limits of ordinary high school histrionics and into the realm of the genuinely perverse.
This screening of Heathers will feature a costume contest (prizes, Heather!) and photo booth (pictures, Heather!), so break out the plaid skirts and croquet mallets for an evening of Christian Slater, Winona Ryder, and the secret meaning of the word "Eskimo."
Bring your ticket to HD1 before or after the show for a 20% discount off gourmet hot dogs and a drink special!
Buy tickets now or visit the Mascara Movie Mondays Facebook page for further details.
