ATLFF is going live with filmmakers slated to play at the 44th Atlanta Film Festival and Creative Conference Panelists! Each year ATLFF has the pleasure of presenting 11 days worth of films from talented filmmakers across the globe. As a festival, we look to provide a platform where audiences can connect with a plethora of groundbreaking works. In anticipation of our 2020 festival, we are delighted to present our latest interview series!

Over the course of the upcoming weeks, ATLFF will be hosting interviews with filmmakers from our 2020 official selections and Creative Conference panelists moderated by Karen Ceesay. Each interview will provide you with a behind the scenes look into the upcoming festival and the films we program.

Janlatae’ Mullins is an award winning writer, producer and freelance director based in Atlanta, GA. She directs narrative short films, music videos, promos and branded content, and is commercially represented by BARK BARK. Her commercial credits include work with Fox, Paramount Pictures, Bravo, Focus Features, Hershey's, Discovery Family and OWN. Her short films have won numerous awards including Best Director at The Black Women in Film Festival in 2015 and Best Screenplay in 2018.

Janlatae’s latest film “Soul Fire", recently won the grand prize for the Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack Real to Reel short film competition in association with Code Black Entertainment and is on a national multi-city screening and press tour with celebrity ambassador Omari Hardwick and Gentleman Jack. She's also directed promotional spots for the award winning show “Queen Sugar” on OWN, which won a Bronze Telly, commercial spots for Pantene, and a dance film for Grammy nominated artist Gavin DeGraw. Jan is a true believer in the power of collaboration. Her tenacity to run after honest performances and soul provoking visuals makes her a great choice for any talent driven narrative or commercial work.
