ATLFF Artistic Director Charles Judson Departs

After more than seven years of service to the Atlanta Film Festival, Artistic Director Charles Judson has left to pursue other opportunities.

"The past seven years have been an amazing time of change for both the film industry and for the Atlanta Film Festival, and I feel honored to have been a part of that change," said Judson. "Now it's time for a change of my own direction in the industry and in the direction of the Festival."

Executive Director Christopher Escobar has delegated Judson's duties among the current staff, and Judson will consult with staff during the transition and lead-up to this year's annual event (March 28 - April 6). There are no current plans to place a successor to Judson.

"Charles has made valuable contributions to the organization that will be felt for years to come," said Escobar. "We wish him the best and we're looking forward to a great 2014 festival."
