The Production Assistant or PA is the entry level position that can teach you the business from the ground up, as well as help you prove you've got what it takes to join other departments if ADing is not for you. Set and Office PAs must be hard working, skilled, team players willing to do what it takes to keep a production running. This introductory workshop covers set and office PA duties and responsibilities, set terminology and etiquette, dos and don'ts, and how to gain experience building a resume.

Linda Burns produces and production supervises national commercials, industrials, TV shows and promos, as well as indie features, two of which premiered and sold out at Sundance. She runs the PA Academy, develops local writers with her D-Girl Project, sits on the executive boards of GPP and the Atlanta Film Festival, and is a charter member of the Producers Guild of America - Atlanta Chapter.
