As part of the Atlanta Film Festival On Tour program, ATLFF proudly presents the following workshops as FREE & OPEN to the public, at the Abernathy Arts Center.

Provided generously as such by the Fulton County Arts & Culture Grant Program to anyone interested in pursuing a career in either film or television, without moving out of state to do so. Learn more about the industry, the opportunities available, and how you can get started locally, right here in Georgia. All participants will gain a better understanding of the film business overall, its many career options, and how to get started pursuing their career goals effectively.

This portion of the class will focus on basic tips to help your resume stand out effectively.

INSTRUCTOR 

Melissa Randle is a professional freelance script supervisor, producer/associate producer and teleprompter operator. With humble beginnings as a background actor & production assistant, her diverse production experience includes over a dozen TV shows, 20+ films, and hundreds of Commercial//Corporate videos & live events, with content in English, Spanish & Portuguese. Her clients include: Turner Studios, the FLOTUS, Delta, GA Lottery, GMC, Bobbcat Films, Disney, ASV Productions and more. 

An active community member, Melissa is an advisor/past president of Women In Film & Television Atlanta, and involved with the planning of a few local film festivals. A huge festival proponent, she regulary attends the Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance, Slamdance, ABFF & Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. As a result of her diverse background & experience, coupled with her love of the industry and a desire to continually learn more about the business she is often sought out to share the knowledge she has acquired with others. As a guest speaker she has been asked to cover a variety of topics from networking etiquette, to getting started in the film business, to teleprompting techniques for actors, including programs for not only industry professionals, but also specifically for students or people just starting out.
