Jason Reitman Masterclass
Sunday, April 15, 2018, 4:00 PM — Dad's Garage

Four-time Academy Award® nominated film director, screenwriter and producer Jason Reitman will host a Masterclass at Dad's Garage as part of the 42nd annual Atlanta Film Festival. After making his feature debut as a filmmaker with Thank You For Smoking in 2005, Reitman went on to garner critical and commercial acclaim with films like JunoUp in the Air and Young Adult. Recently, he reteamed with frequent collaborators Diablo Cody and Charlize Theron for Tully, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and will play at ATLFF on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 7:15 PM.


Romany Malco Masterclass
Monday, April 16, 2018, 4:00 PM — Plaza Theatre

Romany Malco’s breakout role was as the trash-talking womanizer Jay in Judd Apatow’s box office hit, "The 40 Year Old Virgin." Many remember him for his role in the Showtime hit series "Weeds" as Conrad Shepard, love interest and business partner to Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker). Malco also gained recognition for memorable roles in comedies such as "Blades of Glory" opposite Will Ferrell, "Baby Mama" opposite Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, and on the Emmy award-winning drama "The Good Wife. Recently, Malco has starred in ”Think Like A Man,” “Think Like A Man Too,” “The DUFF” and “Almost Christmas.” In 2018, Malco can be seen in “Night School” opposite Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish and in ATLFF ’18 official selection “Prison Logic,” a film that he wrote, produced, directed and stars in.

Amber Nash Masterclass
Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 6:00 PM — Dad's Garage

For the last eight years, Amber Nash has voiced the incomparable character of Pam Poovey on FX's Emmy Award-winning show "Archer." Amber graduated from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Psychology and has been acting and improvising in Atlanta for 16 years. She is a part of the Improv Ensemble at Dad’s Garage Theatre; fulfilling roles as a performer, teacher, creator and director. Amber works with Laughing Matters as an improviser, actor and team-building facilitator. She has also worked with Young Audiences bringing improv programming to elementary schools and has also served on the design team for VSA Arts of Georgia’s Summer Institute. Amber worked with Communities in Schools, ARCH program as their lead improv instructor and as a teacher for Creative Circus. Amber trained at IO in Chicago and worked with The Second City at the Alliance Theatre in 2009 and in 2010 about Norwegian Cruise Lines. Amber is also a voice actor having provided voices for the Adult Swim shows "Frisky Dingo" and guesting on "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." Most of her time today is devoted to providing the voice of Pam on "Archer."
