2015 Short Cuts Film Screening

It’s here! Creative Loafing and The Atlanta Film Festival have joined forces again to bring you the 5th Annual Short Cuts Film Contest Screening at the Plaza Theater on Monday, March 2nd. We tasked local filmmakers to make 5-minute films based on the theme Imagined: The City Through Your Lens. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might say “Wait I know that guy!” as you watch these short films about Atlanta made by Atlantans. This year's submissions covered an array of categories, including music videos, animations, documentaries, and narratives. This screening celebrates the 16 best films. Doors open at 7:30pm (make sure to give yourself time for snacks and beverages) before the films begin at 8:30pm.

Critics' Pick winner will be announced at the end of the night, and that filmmaker will receive $750 cash, a screening at the Atlanta Film Festival, and all-access passes to the Festival. Then it’s your turn to be the critic and vote for your favorite. The Audience Pick winner receives $500 cash, a screening at the Atlanta Film Festival, and all-access passes to the Festival. So please join us, support your local filmmakers, and have a good time while doing it!
