After selling out not just one, but TWO Plaza main screenings during ATLFF '15, Spirit Award winning film "Dante's Down the Hatch" is returning to the Plaza for a week-long run! Starting Friday, May 1 and running through Thursday, May 7, "Dante's Down the Hatch" will play each evening at 7:20 PM. Director Jef Bredemeier is scheduled to attend each screening and Dante himself is scheduled to attending Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.

In addition to the Jury Award winners announced last week, the Atlanta Film Festival also awards several films that were audience favorites from this year's lineup!
In addition to the Jury Award Winners announced last week, the Atlanta Film Festival also gives out Audience Awards to the films that receive the most enthusiastic reception throughout the ten-day festival.
The Audience Award winning feature film goes to Neal Broffman’s "Help Us Find Sunil Tripathi," an engrossing documentary that explores the disappearance and wrongful accusation of a Brown University student following the Boston Marathon bombing. The Georgia-connected film had its World Premiere at the festival on Wednesday, March 25 at 7 Stages Theatre.
"SLUT," by Chloe Okuno, is the Audience Award winning short film. "SLUT," which tells the story of a naive young girl who becomes targeted by a murderous sociopath, screened at the Other Worlds shorts block on Sunday, March 22 at the Plaza Theatre.
After two sold-out World Premiere screenings at the Plaza on Sunday, March 29, "Dante’s Down the Hatch" takes home the Spirit Award, signifying the immeasurable excitement and emotion present at its screenings.
Following a packed, standing-room only screening at the Plaza, "Good Grief Suicide Hotline" receives the Homegrown Award. Locally shot and produced, "Good Grief Suicide Hotline" had its World Premiere on Monday, March 23, screening in front of an exuberant crowd whose laughter practically drowned out the soundtrack.
